About Central Freight Tracking

CFL, which stands for Central Freight Lines Inc., is a company based in Waco, Texas that specializes in regional break-bulk freight transportation, also known as LTL. Their service area spans across the southeastern and southwestern regions of the United States, catering to the needs of clients in these areas. It was the largest long-haul carrier in Texas for most of its history and ranked 21st in the United States by freight volume as of 2021, with projected revenue of US$256 million in 2021.

On December 11, 2021, CFL announced that it would cease operations with final cargo removal on December 13, after which the company would be fully liquidated.

In 1925, a young man named William W. “Woody” Cullen started a company called Central Forwarding Warehouse. He used just one Ford truck to move household items locally. Cullen had worked for other companies before and used that experience to help him start his own business.

The company became an official business in 1927 and in the following year, they started to operate regular transportation routes connecting Dallas, Fort Worth, and Austin. Central Forwarding Warehouse grew over the years and changed its name to Central Freight Lines Inc. (CFL). Today, CFL is based in Waco, Texas and serves customers in the southeastern and southwestern United States.
